First let me say I absolutely love Matthew West.  He does such great Works!  When I think about his song The List, I think how over my lifetime I have torn up several lists and threw them in the air to be carried off, forgiven.  To say I learn things the first time, probably not but I have always had a heart for the Lord. 

Piece of testimony....I have always been in and out of the church.  To say I was a Christian, yes I was quote a "Christian" but not in the sense that I had this undeniable love for the Lord.  Not in the sense that I had a relationship with the Lord.  Had I studied his word, Yes.  Had I attended church regularly when I did go, Yes.   I always saw these people.  Friends, family members, church members, youth leaders etc have this love for the Lord that I just didn't know how to get.  I knew that I wanted it but I had no idea how to get it.  How to have a relationship with the Lord.

Over the summer in 2015, I was again in awe of someone and their love for the Lord and I said, Lord I want that!!  I don't know how to get it but that is what I want.  Let me tell you something!  When you ask the Lord to give you a love for Him, He's gonna do it!  And He did.  He clobbered me upside the head.  I saw a relationship with the Lord in a whole new light.  One that I understood.  One that I can raise my hands to Him in worship.  Can I say I am a Christian now, Yes!

This is the finished picture.

This is the first drawing that I worked on.  I attend ministry work and bible study with a church called Church With No Walls.  This picture popped in my head.  Again I don't claim to be a perfect professional know what I am doing artist.  I draw and color with colored pencils for the most part with the abilities I've learnt over the years.  I just enjoy it. Plain & Simple! :)

 

Welcome!  It's a Doodle Kinda Thing is going to be exactly that!  I love to see all the pictures of Doodling, in particular, Bible Journaling (Doodling).  I hope to use this blog to watch my technique improve and to share my work. 

Most of my Doodles will be based on a Christian Songs Lyrics.  Songs that I have listened to many times.  Over many months, I have been researching Bible Journaling, found the perfect Bible to use, with extra wide margins, nice thick pages.  As I was doing this, my first song popped into my mind.  Little images here and there as I was listening to the song. I feel its such a blessing to share my doodles.  The lyrics are blended through-out the picture with images that correspond to the song. 

As I'm going through the process, I'm learning along the way.  I will share my thoughts on some products or share sites I feel are interesting and helping in growing in the Word.
